AB Miloslav Kabeláč belongs to the most important Czech composers of 20th century thanks to his original composition technique and to human message of his works. The center of his output is in symphonic and chamber music, but he wrote also choirs and cantatas. This paper describes Kabeláč's life, his social position in two totalits; nevertheless the most important part of the text deals with survey of Kabeláč's choral and cantata pieces including characteristics of his personal style. Its originality is in modality, in tendency to polyphony, in technique of interval expanding and in the last works also in combination of different tempos in the same time.
