One of them is also the more than one hundred years old church choir "Andrej" in the parish church of St. Andrew in Ružomberok. Although the choir has experienced its "crises" and periods of instability, the continuousness of this choir throughout long decades can be seen in the fact that it has always been the parish church choir and its activity has never been interrupted or suspended for more than two years. Thanks to dedicated choirmasters, who have been very good and practical musicians, the choir was able to rehearse a rich repertoire and perform at many religious and social events. These musical-artistic activities have had a positive impact on the development of the cultural niveau of the Ružomberok's inhabitants - the members of the choir as well as their listeners, and at the same time also to the (it was also a) valuable artistic representation of the town of Ružomberok, not only in Slovakia but also abroad. Just because of the service led by the church choir to the town and to its artistic-cultural development, the choir "Andrej" can be an example and an inspiration for the development of such a mutually beneficial relationship in other areas of Slovakia, and even in other countries.
