AB  - This article is focused on the educational potential of the music notation software Sibelius and its use in music lessons. The objective of the text is a short description of selected functions in rough thematic groups and their specific examples of use in the music education. The final part of the text shows outcomes of a research, focused on the current awareness of the efficiency of the Sibelius software in education and the level of the engagement of multimedia tools and music software to schools.
