AB  - This year marks the 40th anniversary of the death of Ladislav Stanček (1898-1979). The paper presents the personality of the Slovak composer and his music creation with a focus on choral compositions. This versatile musician - composer, organist, choirmaster, music theorist and pedagogue - was a promoter of the music art and reached almost all genres of music. The aim is to highlight the contribution of Stanček's work as well as the variety of his choral compositions.
