AB The article discusses the international festival of university and high school choirs "Akademická Banská Bystrica", which has been held every odd year at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica since 1985. It presents the history of the festival, highlighting its significant milestones along with some statistical details. Additionally, the article responds to new realities concerning societal changes that affect not only the festival but also the entire musical scene, aiming to provide a vision for reflecting these changes within the organization and implementation of the festival.
