Mše v nonartificiální hudbě

Kristýna Přívarová

The contribution introduces the project called Mass in Non-artificial Music, which took place in 2011 under the auspices of the UJEP Pedagogical Faculty. The project included study and subsequent rendition of three cycles representing uncommon combination of the traditional mass form with non-artificial musical content. Three participating regional choirs are briefly introduced in the beginning of the article: Ventilky Mixed Chamber Choir (Music School in Jirkov), COMODO (Grammar School Chomutov), and NONA Chamber Choir (UJEP Pedagogical Faculty in Ústí nad Labem). The second part of the article is devoted to the cycles that have been studied: A Little Jazz Mass (Bob Chilcott), Missa Kenya (Paul Basler), and Celebration Jazz Mass (Karel Růžička).
