This study analyzes the development and the specifics of the elements of orientalism in nineteenth century Russian classical music. The initial part of this study contains an analyzes of the specifics of Russian national music and the historical process of its formation. The first part of the study defines the region of Wallachia in the context of Moravia and describes Zdeněk Kašpar's personality. The second and third part deal with his collecting activities and subsequent publications of music and folkloristic articles in various periodicals.

The text is facing the problem of tonality, transposition and tuning in the renaissance vocal music. It was ment as an encouraging for the amateur choir conductors, that decide to study and interpret some of the renaissance masterpieces. It is discussing the difference between attitude to the tonality before and after the year 1600. It informs about different possibilities in transposition, different clefs and at the end also about natural tuning and musica ficta.

The declamation ideal and the preferred dictation of the operas for the second half of the 19th century ravaged the classical belcanto structure of the melodic line, and new researches in the field of registers and voice casting had a negative influence on the singing technique of a large number of performers of both the 19th and 20th centuries. The effort to express the work as much as possible and realistically demonstrated feelings led to an exaggerated vocal naturalism, ripping phrasing, bad breathing, and generally falling singing techniques.
