The article is devoted to the singing choir in Zvolen which is the choir with the longest tradition in Slovakia. It is dealing with its foundation, conditions in particular periods, conductors working in this choir, as well as with the important awards or performances which this choir in its 130 years long tradition experienced or took part in.
