Stará hudba ve sborovém zpěvu. Text a jeho hudební vyjádření

Sylvie Kroupová

In the Czech Republic, the interest in early music has significantly risen in the last two decades, however sometimes not even musicians know much about it. As a result the interpretation of early music pieces is often very inaccurate. Whilst there is not much space for deep exploration of early music in music classes, school (and also other) choirs offer the ideal environment for some more teaching. The singers can not only interpret, but also explore the pieces and educe theory from practice while having fun. We will set a few examples of how to use the analysis of early music pieces with emphasis put on the way of dealing with text, and use it as a pedagogical tool.
