Dospělé pěvecké sbory v Opavě

The town of Opava has been the centre of Silesia and as such it has also become the centre of children, youth, adult and church choir. The oldest of them has been the Křížkovský Choir, the activity of which was initiated in 1887. Other choirs have been the Silesian Teachers Male Choral Society (since 1906) and Silesian Teachers Female Choral Society (since 1958). The youngest of the adult choirs has been the Chamber Choir of Silesian University.
